摘要: The surface composition of two different types potassium promoted iron oxide catalysts used for styrene production was studied with Auger electron spectroscopy (AES) and scanning microscopy (SEM). Catalyst A after use in ultrahigh vacuum mass spectrometry (MS)-desorption experiments at temperatures close to ordinary process 860-890 K. loss reactivity observed the MS seems be connected formation KOH rather than extensive K from catalyst. B had been industrial prior AES studies. normal migration processes are confirmed. We also observe a low oxygen content, which indicates not bound as an oxide. Loss should irreversibly decrease amount active compound KFeO 2 , may thus important early step deactivation catalyst
