摘要: A brief review of research performed on ferroelectromagnetic crystals over the 50years following discovery these materials by G. A. Smolenskiĭ and his colleagues is given. During first decades single solid solutions ferrloelectromagnetic substances were synthesized evidence an interaction between ferroelectric magnetic subsystems was obtained. The two colossal magnetoelectric (ME) effects in nickel-iodine boracite discovered. theory explained qualitatively observed predicted new ME phenomena.
