摘要: Abstract Activated carbon/NiFe 2 O 4 (AC/NiFe ) magnetic composite was synthesized by a facile hydrothermal synthesis method. This synthetic approach involves the mixing of aqueous solution FeCl 3 and NiSO with AC NaOH to yield mixture. The mixture subsequently sealed heated at 453 K for 10 h. AC/NiFe composites method mentioned above were characterized X-ray diffraction (XRD), nitrogen adsorption isotherms, vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM) Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy. Methyl orange (MO) dye selected as model azo dyes investigate property composite. conditions including content, pH concentration MO solution, contact time, temperature, adsorbent dosage ionic strength systematically investigated batch experiments. removal efficiencies could reach 93% in first 2 min 99% within 30 min temperature 303 K. Several isotherm models data fitted well Langmuir model. exhibited maximum capacity q max 182.82 mg g −1 kinetic described pseudo-second-order overall process jointly controlled external mass transfer intraparticle diffusion, diffusion rate-dominating step. Thermodynamic parameters Δ G o , H S calculated, suggesting that onto spontaneous endothermic process. Adsorption interactions from solutions using FT-IR remarkable can be attributed hydrogen bonding interaction between Regeneration experiment showed used six times. easily dispersed, separated removed an applied magnet field, more convenient large scale applications than filtration or centrifugation separation route.
