摘要: This paper summarizes recent work at the SGL group on versatility of different carbon materials (carbon blacks, graphite, nanotubes) used as functional components in micro-porous layer (MPL) gas diffusion layers (GDL) for proton exchange membrane fuel cells (PEMFCs). The properties MPL are shown to have significant effects water management PEMFCs. Multiwall nanotubes significantly improve GDL conductivity and their combination with graphite or blacks allows a optimization either dry (graphite-containing MPL) wet (acetylene black-based operating conditions.
