摘要: Skin preparation burns associated with chemical agents are uncommon. They occur most frequently in patients placed the lithotomic position undergoing gynaecologic or urologic operations, burn being on buttocks, and those orthopaedic extremities under a tourniquet. The basic mechanism involves irritation coupled maceration pressure. If betadine solution has not been allowed to dry trapped body of patient pooled dependent position, such as buttocks tourniquet, may irritate skin result burn. pressure leads situation analogous that seen development an acute accelerated decubitus ulcer; irritation, maceration, friction compounding each other superficial ulcer skin. Our experience three illustrative who presented various following exposure povidone-iodine (betadine) is described below.
