Ag-decorated ZnO nanorods prepared by photochemical deposition and their high selectivity to ethanol using conducting oxide electrodes

摘要: A novel gas sensor structure is presented in this work. It consists of LaNiO3 thin film electrodes and sensitive Ag nanoparticle-decorated ZnO nanorods. nanorods were successfully synthesized by a facile wet chemical method aqueous solution at 95 °C, then the decorated with NPs through photochemical deposition. Dielectrophoresis was used to position Ag-decorated on electrodes. The as-prepared devices combined advantages one-dimensional nanostructure, highly ordered array, stability electrode decoration, which resulted dramatic sensing performance for detection. sensors have high selectivity ethanol, as well improved response recovery speeds.
