摘要: The Ivory Coast's Tai Forest is home to a diverse primate fauna, including eight monkey species that interact daily with the environment, each other, and web of predators. These interactions have led an array adaptations, some which conform theoretical expectations, others are at odds current behavioral ecology models. In this paper, we draw on fifteen years observations examine two central issues. First, how do broad trends in diet resource distribution influence group size levels sociality? Second, what mechanisms used counter pressures exerted by predator community? general picture emerges while pressure predators has host cognitive it food preferences foraging habits, not predation pressure, main determinants, only size, but also its direct consequences - mating systems sociality levels.
