摘要: Abstract Numerical solutions have been obtained for steady uniform flow past a rotating circular cylinder. Results are presented Reynolds numbers, based on the diameter of cylinder, 5 and 20 rotational parameters, α, in range 0⩽ α ⩽ 3. To avoid difficulties satisfying boundary conditions at large distances from cylinder new numerical technique is introduced. Further, series expansion which valid small values but results found to be applicable over wide α. The calculated drag lift coefficients general nature streamline patterns good agreement with most recent time-dependent calculations performed by Badr Dennis.
