摘要: Adsorption at the liquid–solid interface has numerous applications in removal of toxic materials and organic pollutants from water. The present work reports adsorption maleic acid onto activated carbon obtained coconut (Cocos nucifera) leaves. Three types carbons were synthesized by different methods: physical, chemical microwave activation. In this work, we characterized these methods XRD, SEM, TGA FTIR spectroscopic analysis. Activated subjected to process was studied as a function concentration acid, contact time temperature. polar C–O functional group surface attracts H+ ions solution. This interaction is responsible for process. data fitted Freundlich Langmuir isotherms. found follow second order kinetics. effect temperature on also activation energy, change enthalpy entropy calculated based theory absolute reaction rate expressions.
