Study of gas–solids flow in a short CFB riser by statistical and chaotic deterministic analysis of optical fibre probe signals

摘要: In this work, a short CFB riser with height of 2.42 m and an ID 82 mm was operated under different dilute operating conditions to study the fluid dynamics FCC catalyst particles (dp = 80 µm, ρp = 902 kg/m3) in air. The electrical signals from optical fibre probe were sampled at frequency 1000 Hz for period 30 s obtained positions along radius riser. Data analysed using both statistical methods (time average, standard deviation distribution) chaos (construction attractors; correlation dimension, DML; Kolmogorov entropy, KML). Some results on solids holdup deduced signal are also presented developed zone It verified that very conditions, increasing gas velocity produces more complex less predictable fluctuations concentration, while flux generally reduces complexity increases predictability. However, most condition used shows radial position where is higher (near wall), increase concentration does not affect mean free path particles, resulting values DML than region (core). © 2012 Canadian Society Chemical Engineering
