摘要: Summary This paper reports on one of the key findings from a recent ethnographic study (Roberts, D., 2007. Friendships and community students: peer learning amongst group pre-registration student nurses. Unpublished PhD Thesis, University Salford, UK) aims to highlight importance friendships for nurses in clinical practice. An interpretive approach was taken order reveal experience during their pre registration programme. Data collected using interviewing (Sorrell, J.M., Redmond, G.M., 1995. Interviews qualitative nursing research: differing approaches phenomenological studies. Journal Advanced Nursing 21, 1117–1122.) participant observation. Within this I argue that exist edge practice (of qualified staff) therefore form own parallel where students are all seen as being same boat. In particular use they develop enable them learn; developing an ‘ask anything’ culture perceived valuable sources knowledge. Furthermore, it appears knowledge is contextually bound not linked seniority, or length time served course.
