摘要: Nature is able to produce various inorganic structures with very specific fine in the micro- and nano-regime, which are facilitated controlled by protein-based systems. Enzymes like silicateines catalyse biomineralization provide organisms exoskeletons material properties. While these interesting materials biology, they also offer ample opportunities for scientists create man-made same biological species a non-natural setting. natural rely on proteins certain processes, other more accessible show similar capabilities even though it not their native function. Mimicking provides route formation of new shapes compositions. In this article, synthetic processes resulting will be discussed, describing tools bio-inspired systems used comparing original function protein its role process.
