摘要: Changes in the endocrine potency of municipal wastewater at 3 treatment plants (WWTPs) Australia were investigated using a panel vitro receptor-driven transactivation assays. The assays based on human estrogen receptor α, androgen receptor, progesterone glucocorticoid and peroxisome proliferator-activated γ2. Total removal efficiencies for estrogenic activity dissolved phase 79.8% to 99.4%. Chemical analysis 17β-estradiol, estrone, 17α-ethinylestradiol levels showed that they accounted majority observed final effluents but only 18% 70% influents. Removal efficiency androgenic was 97.5% 100%. Endocrine low effluent WWTP with lowest catchment population, detected. In an intermediate estrogenic, glucocorticoid, proliferator activities Estrogenic, antiandrogenic, progestagenic, detected highest population. present study confirms efficacy secondary tertiary reducing concentrations endocrine-active compounds wastewater. Further work is required determine possible health risks aquatic biota posed by multiple hormonal levels.
