摘要: Abstract Thin wall permeator tubes have been produced by diffusion welding of Pd–Ag foils. These dense metal membranes are proposed for separating and producing ultra-pure hydrogen as a result their complete selectivity. Furthermore, they present high permeation fluxes well reduced costs on account thickness. The reliability these membrane has continuously tested during over 12 months experimental campaign in presence thermal hydrogenation cycles. permeability tests carried out measuring the under controlled conditions temperature trans-membrane differential pressure. In particular, behaviour tube investigated wide range temperatures (150–400 °C) pressures (100–200 kPa) order to simulate use within permeators reactors where processes from hydrocarbons takes place. At 350–400 °C values around 1.0 × 10 −8  mol m −1  s  Pa −0.5 measured comparable with literature data. A new mechanical design (finger-like configuration) module ensured long life permeator. selectivity demonstrated tests.
