摘要: The study evaluated the hypoglycemic effect of biscuits produced from flour blends three medicinal foods (Unripe plantain fruits, Moringa seed, and pigeon pea) on high-fat diet (HFD)/streptozotocin (STZ)-induced (HFD/STZ) diabetic rats. formulated were at different proportion fed to HFD-STZ-induced rats for 14 days. result showed that caused a significant increase in pancreas, liver, kidney antioxidant molecules, decreased production thiobarbituric reactive acid species (TBARS) homogenates, reduced pancreatic α-amylase intestinal α-glucosidase activities as against untreated In conclusion, use flours unripe plantain, pea could serve functional food toward treatment/management diabetes its possible complications such diabetes-induced liver damage. PRACTICAL APPLICATIONS: drug management acarbose have been reported side effects, while therapy is gaining much interest diabetes. Hence, there need diets base will not only cure diabetes, but also combat complications. sight this, blended used produce biscuit be large scale under hygienic regulated condition.
