摘要: Several years ago, the first author and his colleagues developed a theory regarding uniqueness-seeking behavior (see Snyder & Fromkin, 1980, for overview). Against prevailing viewpoint that people always prefer others who are similar to themselves (i.e., Donn Byrne, 1971, reinforcement of interpersonal attraction), it was proposed moderate amount similarity most satisfactory state people. In brief, uniqueness predicts find extremely high relative be aversive, therefore will strive lessen their perceived manifested sense more level. The conclusion after conducting research pertaining motive reestablish some specialness appears in many situations where perceive threatened. Nevertheless, fascinating circumstances reversed eventually led us examine topic excuse-making.
