摘要: Abstract Zinc bismuth borate (ZBB) glasses with chemical composition of (60 − x ) B 2 O 3 : 30Bi 10ZnO: Eu for different concentrations = 1, 3, 5, 7 and 9 mol% were prepared by the conventional melt quenching technique. The density molar volume have been found to increase concentration. IR studies indicated that these made up [BiO ], [BO 4 ] [BO] basic structural units. absorption spectra had revealed two intense bands due F 0 → 6 (2076 nm) 1 (2198 nm) transitions in NIR regions. fractional populations ( ground state 65% 35% , respectively. Five luminescence observed at 579 nm 5 D ), 589 nm 613 nm 651 nm 696 nm when excited a 465 nm source, most red emission was 613 nm. A shorter decay time increasing 3+ concentration as more asymmetries created around . For comparison, further investigations carried out other glass structures; (BB) zinc (ZB), doped same range. ZBB exhibited highest intensity especially 613 nm; times ZB twice BB glasses.
