摘要: OBJECTIVE: The objective of the current research was to test efficacy a group-based Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) intervention for partner aggression, compared with support discussion control group, in clinical sample adults. METHOD: One hundred one participants (mean age = 31; 68% female; 18% minority) who endorsed recently engaging at least 2 acts aggression were randomly assigned receive ACT or support-and-discussion condition. Both interventions consisted 12 weekly 2-hr sessions. Assessments pretreatment, during treatment, posttreatment, 3 6 months after treatment measured psychological (Multidimensional Measure Emotional Abuse Scale [MMEA]), physical (Conflict Tactics Scales [CTS-2]), experiential avoidance (Avoidance Action Questionnaire [AAQ]), emotion dysregulation (Difficulties Emotion Regulation [DERS]). RESULTS: Results growth curve modeling analyses demonstrated that group had significantly greater declines from pre- posttreatment pretreatment follow-up 6-month outcomes partially mediated by levels posttreatment. CONCLUSIONS: results this first trial aggressive behavior indicate reduced both these changes than those suggesting an approach may serve as efficacious aggression.
