摘要: The DNAs of different members the Papillomavirus genus papovaviruses were analyzed for nucleotide sequence homology. Under standard hybridization conditions (Tm - 28 degrees C), no homology was detectable among genomes human papillomavirus type 1 (HPV-1), bovine 2 (BPV-2), or cottontail rabbit (Shope) (CRPV). However, under less stringent (i.e., Tm 43 stable hybrids formed between radiolabeled CRPV, BPV-1, BPV-2 and HindIII-HpaI A, B, C fragments HPV-1. these same conditions, CRPV HPV-1 with HincII B DNA. These results indicate that there are regions as much 70% base match all genomes. Furthermore, unlabeled DNA competitively inhibited specific to bpv-2 fragments, indicating homologous segments common remotely related conserved sequences evidenced by lack either simian virus 40 papovavirus BK identical conditions. a close evolutionary relationship papillomaviruses further establish polyoma viruses distinct genera.
