摘要: Background. Impedance cardiography (ICG) has been used extensively to estimate stroke volume (SV) and cardiac output (CO) from changes of thoracic electrical bioimpedance (TEB). However, studies comparing ICG with reference methods have questioned the reliability this approach. Electrical velocimetry (EV) provides a new algorithm calculate CO variations in TEB. As transoesophageal Doppler echocardiographic quantification (TOE‐CO) emerged as reliable method, purpose study was determine limits agreement between estimations using EV (EV‐CO) TOE‐CO. Methods. Standard ECG electrodes were for non-invasive EV‐CO measurements. These placed on 37 patients scheduled coronary artery surgery necessitating echocardiography monitoring. Simultaneous TOE‐CO measurements recorded after induction anaesthesia. calculated Bernstein‐Osypka equation. measured across aortic valve continuous-wave triangular orifice model. Results. A significant high correlation found (r 2 =0.86). Data related linearly. The slope line (1.10 (SE 0.07)) not significantly different unity, point at which it intersected ordinate ( 0.46 (0.32) litre min 1 ) zero. Bland‐Altman analysis revealed bias 0.18 narrow 0.99 1.36 ). Conclusions. is clinically acceptable, these two techniques can be interchangeably.
