摘要: The Saharan Mineral Dust Experiment (SAMUM) was conducted in May/June 2006 southern Morocco. As part of SAMUM, airborne situ measurements the particle size distribution diameter range 4 nm < Dp 100 μm were conducted. aerosol mixing state determined below 2.5 μm. Furthermore, vertical structure dust layers investigated with a nadir-looking high spectral resolution lidar (HSRL). desert exhibited two regimes different states: 0.5 μm, particles had non-volatile core and volatile coating; larger above consisted components contained light absorbing material. In all cases, than 10 present, 80% no 40 present. abundance large showed almost height dependence. effective Deff plumes main ranges: first peaked around 5 second 8 ranges suggest that it may be inadequate to use one average or parametrization for typical distribution.
