摘要: This paper gives an overview of management considerations required for better control deicing chemicals in the unsaturated zone at sites with winter maintenance operations cold regions. Degradable organic are main focus. The importance heterogeneity both infiltration process, due to frozen ground and snow melt including contact between melting cover soil, flow is emphasised. In this paper, applicability geophysical methods characterising soil considered, aimed modelling monitoring changes contamination. To deal heterogeneity, a stochastic framework may be appropriate, emphasizing more robust spatial temporal moments. Examples combination different field techniques measuring subsoil properties contaminants integration through transport provided by SoilCAM project previous work. Commonly, results contaminant fate quite detailed complex require post-processing before communication advising stakeholders. managers’ perspectives respect strategies challenges still unresolved have been analysed basis experience research collaboration one case study sites, Oslo airport, Gardermoen, Norway. Both scientific regions effective interaction investigators illustrated.
