Tough, high performance, addition-type thermoplastic polymers

摘要: A tough, high performance polyimide is provided by reacting a triple bond conjugated with an aromatic ring in bisethynyl compound the active double containing activated toward formation of Diels-Adler type adduct, especially bismaleimide, biscitraconimide, or benzoquinone, mixtures thereof. Addition curing this product produces highly linear polymeric structure and heat treating poduces thermally-stable addition-type thermoplastic polyimide, which finds utility preparation molding compounds, adhesive compositions, polymer matrix composites.
