摘要: There are many fibrous materials, both natural and man made, ranging from hard material such as wood carbon fibre composites to relatively soft materials rubber softer biological tissues. With particular reference fibre-reinforced this chapter provides the theoretical background for analyzing elastic properties of based on nonlinear continuum mechanics through so-called structure tensors which constructed deformation invariants that form independent variables in constitutive laws. The theory is applied some simple deformations by way illustration response. notion tensor then used incorporate residual stresses into law important effects illustrated a prototype boundary-value problem related behaviour arteries.
