Mechanochromic Fluorescent Polymers with Aggregation-Induced Emission Features.

摘要: Mechanochromic polymers are defined as materials that able to detect a mechanical stress through an optical output. This feature has evoked growing interest in the last decades, thanks progress of chromogenic molecules whose characteristics and chemical functionalities allow their effective insertion many thermoplastic thermoset matrices. Among different types fluorogenic probes solicitations, those with aggregation-induced emission (i.e., AIEgens) have attracted tremendous since discovery 2001. In present review, main principles behind AIEgens working behavior introduced along current state knowledge concerning design preparation derived mechanochromic fluorescent polymers. Examples provided most ingenious solution for materials, starting from commodity plastics or synthetic combined latest AIE technology provide sensitive response stress.
