摘要: Three experiments were conducted to determine the effect of certain sex hormones on wool growth in sheep. The administration estradiol intramuscularly caused a significant (P <.01) reduction average weight clean and fibre length obtained from tattooed areas. In addition, this treatment reduced thyroid weight, but increased pituitary adrenal weights. It is suggested that production resulted lowered activity cortical stimulation.The use diethylstilbestrol orally produced same general effects as lesser degree.The single implant (12 mg.) ewe lambs had no growth.
