摘要: PURPOSE The impact of neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NACT) on immunohistochemical markers in breast cancer specimens remains controversial. We designed the current study to investigate potential changes estrogen receptor (ER), progesterone (PR), HER2, and Ki-67 expression before after NACT a cohort Turkish patients with cancer. METHODS This research was as prospective, observational 100 consecutive (mean age 47.8±11.4 years) who were scheduled undergo anthracycline- and/or taxane-containing attempting cytoreductive surgery at Department Oncology Uludag University Medical Center, Bursa, Turkey. Immunohistochemistry performed formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded specimens. RESULTS Changes only significant for HER-2 Ki- 67. More specifically, number HER-2-positive decreased from 21 8 (p<0.001). Similarly, tumor samples positive significantly 65 24 Mean pre- post-treatment grades differentiation 2.56 ± 0.67 2.37±1.07, respectively (p<0.05). did not find any associations between baseline ER, PR, both overall survival (OS) disease- free (DFS). CONCLUSION Our suggests that reduces HER2 significance NACT-induced should be further studied future translational clinical research.
