摘要: Abstract A comparative environmental impact assessment is performed for different hydrogen production methods. The methods are characterised on the basis of energy sources such as renewables and fossil fuel. Steam methane reforming (SMR) natural gas studied categorized under fuel based production. Renewable includes electrolysis using sodium chlorine cycle. Electrolytic also compared membrane cell, diaphragm cell mercury cell. Wind solar utilized electricity generation which in turn used electrolytic present study uses life cycle (LCA), an analytical tool to identify quantify environmentally critical phases during a system or product and/or evaluate decrease overall product. LCA results processes indicate that SMR has highest impacts terms abiotic depletion, global warming potential, greenhouse gases other categories. depletion found be 0.131 kg Sb eq. among all second value 0.00786 kg However, thermodynamic suggest-that most efficient method because amount produced output larger than any method.
