摘要: Introduction. Obesity is associated with a wide range of cardiovascular and metabolic diseases. Objective. To establish an association between the nutritional status 6-10 year old boys girls blood pressure. Population Methods. A cross-sectional, analytical study was conducted in schoolboys schoolgirls. Outcome measures indicators studied included as per body mass index; presence central fat distribution estimated by waist circumference; pressure (height, age gender tables). Differences mean values were analyzed using Student’s t test. The relationship outcome Pearson’s correlation coefficient. Linear regression models adjusted for systolic diastolic following explanatory measures: z scores index, age, circumference. Results: Five hundred fifty five male female children evaluated; they all younger than 11 years old. total 26.3% overweight 15.1% obese. prevalence hypertension 1.08%.
