摘要: In order to determine stopping-power values the energy losses of 5.2--22.5-MeV /sup 16/O/sup n//sup +/ ions in 2.0-..mu..m Havar, 2.8-..mu..m nickel, 10.5-..mu..m Kapton, and 3.8- 6.9-..mu..m aluminum-layered (40-nm Al) Mylar foils were measured transmission geometry. Proton loss a backscattering experiment was taken as measure film thickness. The energy-loss data compared with calculated predictions obtained by using Bragg's additivity rule Andersen-Ziegler parameters for proton stopping appropriate scaling oxygen experimental available literature. results medium atomic number, Havar found be similar values; however, powers lie 2--4 % above predicted between 6 14 MeV light composite Kapton foils. response silicon surface-barrier detectors 16/O studied interval 1.5--19 MeV. A distinct nonlinearity observed at low ion energies.
