摘要: Regional communities in Queensland, Australia are the life-blood of state; contributing more than 80% exports goods and services, as well about 16 billion dollars each year to state’s economy. Weather-related disasters such floods have become frequent over last fifty years those communities. Between December 2010 January 2011, three-quarters state was declared disaster zone a result flooding. At least seventy towns 200,000 people were affected by these floods. The Fitzroy Basin is largest coastal catchment Queensland second Australia; most this basin been flood. This study examined vulnerability housing market through case Rockhampton region within using longitudinal data total house sales, new land package sales before after 2011 flood also tested results with key regional economic factor (mining development) whether impact has relieved factor. found that compared only sales; relatively mining impact.
