摘要: The progressive stages in Bdellovibrio bacteriovorus penetration into two strains of Escherichia coli were examined by use electron microscopic techniques. initial change observed the ultrastructure host following parasitic attack was swelling cell envelope at site attachment. then appeared to pierce center this swelling, forming a pore outer wall layers host. edges entry constricted throughout its cell. Although partial disruption cytoplasmic membrane always apparent, parasite did not appear actively penetrate through barrier.
