摘要: A study in the monkey was made of degeneration and effects lesions accessory oculomotor nuclei. Lesions destroyed: (1) interstitial nucleus (INC), (2) regions lateral dorsal to INC, (3) posterior commissure (PC), (4) central gray. Degeneration studied Nauta-Gygax stained sections. Efferent fibers from INC project: contralaterally, specific subdivisions complex (OMC), bilaterally, trochlear nuclei (TN), ipsilaterally, medial vestibular nucleus, certain perihypoglossal spinal cord. Projections cross ventral parts PC project differentially dorsal, intermediate cell columns via contralateral MLF. No somatic columns, visceral or caudal OMC. Discrete produce transient head tilt opposite side. Unilateral bilateral interrupt crossing interstitio-oculomotor produce: symmetrical differential OMC TN similar that resulting discrete eyelid retraction, impairment vertical gaze, particularly upward gaze. Horizontal gaze pupillary reflexes were normal. Evidence suggests relationships between may underlie neural mechanisms regulate eye movements.
