摘要: We have made double crstal rocking curve measurements on a gallium-cooled silicon monochromator in both the normal flat geometry and an 85° inclined X-25 focused wiggler beamline at National Synchrotron Light Source. At 192 mA ring current, delivers about 37.7 W of power into spot size FWHM 0.4 × 0.8 mm2, resulting average density 118 W/mm2. The crystal spreads beam footprint surface while maintaining b = −1 symmetric Bragg reflection. inclination angle, is 11.5 times larger than that for geometry. In case current 156 mA, we see, via infrared camera, increase temperature 56°C above nominal temperature. this were significantly broadened (FWHM 15 keV Si(333) 35 arcsec) due to thermally induced strain silicon. crystal, thermal peak was only 2.7°C case, width reflection measured be 2.7 arc sec compared with theoretical 1.0 arcsec. residual totally mounting crystals not heating from X-ray beam.
