摘要: Considerable evidence indicates that cognitions regarding favorable drinking consequences figure prominently in the development of problem drinking. Because children alcoholics (COAs) are at particularly high risk for developing problems, authors hypothesized they would have higher levels such than nonalcoholics (CONAs). The administered a free-recall task consisting alcohol, positive, negative, and neutral words to 100 college students predicted COAs (n = 18) positive associations (measured by contiguous recall) lower negative with alcohol CONAs 82). results indicated although had significantly fewer statistically comparable associations. Early intervention efforts among may be enhanced placing increased emphasis on alcohol's consequences.
