摘要: A total of 141 highland swordtails, Xiphophorus malinche, were collected from 2 localities in the Panucoriver drainage (Chicayotla and Malila) Hidalgo, Mexico. The parasite community structure localitieswas examined compared. Five taxa helminths recovered: digeneans, adults Paracreptotrema sp. andmetacercariae Uvulifer sp.; an adult monogenean, Urocleidoides vaginoclastrum; cestode, Bothriocephalusacheilognathi, nematode, Rhabdochona xiphophori. Among them, Ur. vaginoclastrum was mostfrequent abundant species. remaining species rare found at low mean abundance. Only ofhelminth both localities. observed richness, individual abundance, diversity atcomponent infracommunity levels. Abundance fish standard length correlated.Uvulifer more small fish, but showed opposite pattern, high abundancein larger fish. Differences this study can be attributed to abiotic biotic environmental factors resultingfrom geographic separation these during orogeny Sierra Madre Oriental that restrictedfish isolated headwaters.
