摘要: Since overexpression of HER2/ neu oncogenes in breast cancer cells is associated with resistance to the cytotoxic effect tumor necrosis factor (TNF), we investigated whether this correlation also existed for ovarian targets. Nine continuously cultured human lines were studied and compared 3 lines. Three 1 line demonstrated amplified genes by Southern analysis, increased RNA Northern marked immunoperoxidase staining protein. The other 8 contained unamplified undetectable All 4 overexpressed relatively resistant effects TNF. Interestingly, they lymphokine-activated killer cells. In contrast, 7 nonexpressed showed sensitivity TNF all sensitive There was no difference lysis hydrogen peroxide or peptide defensins between over- These data indicate that expression may impart a proliferative advantage due induction several different mechanisms.
