摘要: Abstract The present paper examines the effects of sparger design and dispersion height on regime transition. Experiments were performed in a 0.385 m i.d. bubble column. Twenty-two designs sieve plate spargers employed. Free area was varied range 0.136–5.0% hole diameter 0.8–50 mm. to ratio 1–8. effect coalescing nature liquid phase also investigated. In order reduce behavior as compared air–water system, aqueous solution 0.2 M NaCl formed phase. For enhancing behavior, 1% (w/w) carboxy methyl cellulose. A mathematical model has been developed for prediction critical gas hold-up basis linear stability analysis. comparison presented between experimental observations.
