Specific effect of haloperidol on dopamine turnover in the frontal cortex.

摘要: A single injection of haloperidol (0.08 mg/kg) produced marked increases in HVA rabbit brain. Of the dopamine-containing areas studied, elevation was significantly greater frontal cortex than striatum, tuberculum olfactorium or parietal cortex. After chronic treatment, a tolerance phenomenon to effects on observed only striatal and limbic areas. The present results suggest that may be preferential target for antipsychotic activity neuroleptic agents.
