摘要: Stem cuttings were collected in Cameroon from cassava plants displaying mosaic disease (CMD) symptoms. The nature of the viruses present was determined by using PCR with primers specific for coat protein (CP) genes African virus (ACMV) and East (EACMV). All samples infected ACMV eight 50 both an EACMV-like virus. complete nucleotide sequences DNA-A -B representative determined. component contained evidence recombination AC2-AC3 region DNA-B also BC1. However, components retained gene arrangements typical bipartite begomoviruses. When Nicotiana benthamiana doubly inoculated these isolates EACMV (ACMV/CM, EACMV/CM) sap or infectious clones, symptoms more severe than either alone. Southern blot analysis viral DNAs showed that there significantly higher levels accumulation ACMV/CM and, to a lesser extent, EACMV/CM mixed-infected singly plants. These results strongly suggest occurrence synergistic interaction between two viruses.
