摘要: Pore development arising from steam and CO2 gasification of a char, prepared an inertinite-rich Witbank Seam 4 coal, was investigated using small angle X-ray scattering. The ∼75 μm, gasified to specific conversions (10, 25, 35 50%) two reagents, steam. A novel ratio analysis technique developed study the pore experimental data. Differently sized pores grow at different rates with difference not being simply due gas accessibility. In particular, between 1 40 nm in size showed more growth than larger or smaller sizes. Steam created porous char increased sizes gasification. rate up factor 7 times faster CO2, compared highest temperatures. For pores, <1 nm, it found that generation slower though still evident critical cross over for be 1 nm 0.6 nm This may direct consequence CO2's greater kinetic diameter.
