摘要: The aim of the present study was to characterize EEG response pattern specific for tonic pain which is an experimental model resembling clinical more closely than phasic pain. Tonic produced by a series heat pulses 1 degree C above threshold over 10 min. A 0.3 below and constant temperature 37 degrees served as non-painful control baseline condition, respectively. level attention experimentally manipulated instruction distraction task. Twenty male, pain-free subjects had rate sensation intensity unpleasantness during thermal stimulation. Furthermore, German version McGill Pain Questionnaire be filled out after painful recorded via leads according 10/20 convention. Power density calculated usual frequency bands. ratings showed that experienced clearly distinct from heat. An emerged characterized rather generalized increased delta(2) activity, left-biased fronto-temporally diminished theta fronto-temporal decrease in alpha(1) activity left-sided temporal increase beta(1) activity. This observation agrees well with findings others. However, there no evidence our data these changes are opposed observed Accordingly, repeatedly reported patterns also likely other forms strong somatosensory stimuli not
