摘要: Large scale migrations are a key component of the life history many marine species. We quantified annual migration cycle juvenile southern bluefin tuna (Thunnus maccoyii; SBT) and spatiotemporal variability in this cycle, based on multi-decadal electronic tagging dataset. Behaviour-switching models allowed for identification cohesive areas residency classified temporal sequence movements within from austral summer foraging grounds Great Australian Bight (GAB) to winter Indian Ocean Tasman Sea back GAB. Although specific regions were frequented, individuals did not always return same area consecutive years.
