摘要: During intra-arterial (IA) chemotherapy of brain tumors, the initial vessels chosen for infusion are based on vascular distribution tumor as revealed by CT or MR imaging. However, angiography may reveal details anatomy that require an alteration vessel plan. The incidence infusional alterations and underlying involved remains unknown in patients with tumors undergoing IA chemotherapy. To evaluate this question, we performed a chart, CT/MRI, review receiving Seventy-eight were identified primary (39) metastatic tumors. cohort consisted 40 males 38 females, mean age 47.8 years. course treatment, angiographic 5 (6.4%) required In three cases, demonstrated more substantial perfusion from different arterial supply. two variations normal associated unexpected perfusion. Careful interpretation at initiation each cycle is very important to verify appropriate have been drug infusion, order maximize regional dose intensity. our series, results necessitated plan 6.4% patient cohort.
