摘要: A burner configuration that allows the creation of nearly unstretched one-dimensional diffusion flames has recently been introduced. This paper presents first detailed characterization produced in such a to assess how well they approach idealized configuration, which is used extensively for development theoretical models flame stability. Particular emphasis directed at quantifying remaining inhomogeneities burner, as residual stretch or variations boundary conditions, and identifying possible means minimize them. Measurements made include velocity field, stable species concentration profiles temperature distribution throughout burning chamber. Additionally, position determined function mixture strength, reactant transport properties bulk flow velocity. All measurements are found be good agreement with simplified model. However, conditions their physical location have experimentally on both sides flame, complicates comparison results from numerical models. Despite these limitations, we conclude this new type provides experimental approximation construct.
