Facile and Scalable One-Step Method for Amination of Graphene Using Leuckart Reaction

摘要: A very simple method of reductive amination, based on the Leuckart reaction, is reported. This enables not only reduction graphite oxide but also results in reduced graphene functionalized with amine groups, where amination degree 3.2 at. % as determined by XPS. The dominant nitrogen functional group was primary amine, pyridines and lactam groups were observed. It found that amino-functionalized a semi-metallic material because lack band gap, unlike presented gap 2.16 eV.
