摘要: Strongyloides stercoralis (SS) is endemic in tropical and subtropical areas worldwide the southeastern United States. The lifecycle of SS both unique complex. Human infection begins with penetration skin by filariform larvae that migrate hematogenously to lungs. Larvae then ascend airway, are swallowed, mature gut. Unlike other nematodes, can autoinfect same host persist for decades. Categorization includes acute, chronic-uncomplicated, disseminated forms. Clinical manifestations depend on particular organs involved. Fifteen thirty percent chronically infected people may be asymptomatic.
