摘要: Methods to model animal occupied zones in computational fluid dynamics (CFD) for predictions of air properties are explored. The study was based on CFD analysis supported by experimental validation. Animal zone (AOZ) modelled as a porous media reduce the cost. Here, two ways. first with constant and uniform values porous-resistance coefficients throughout AOZ called porous-media method (POM), second resistance considered according spatial location occupants profiled-porous-media (PPOM). For POM, sub-study required estimate coefficients. PPOM, resistances were infinite at spatial-locations but elsewhere zero – no separate estimating required. Results simulations both POM PPOM compared when animals present AOZ. It concluded that it is possible or PPOM. However, layout dependent estimation will always be each single layout. Moreover, under-predicted average velocities On other hand, there benefits Firstly, secondly gave more realistic Average temperatures accurately predicted
