摘要: Early detection of breast cancer by screening is the only means for long-term survival. In United States, recommendations asymptomatic women include self-examination every month beginning at age 20, clinical examination 3 years between ages 20-40 and year thereafter, mammography 1-2 40-49 thereafter [1]. Results several large studies over past 30 have shown up to a 30% relative reduction in mortality but less than 1% absolute [2]. Whether efforts increase during decade will reduce should be apparent next years.
