A diethylaminophenol functionalized Schiff base: crystallization-induced emission-enhancement, switchable fluorescence and application for security printing and data storage

摘要: In this study, we report the synthesis and photoluminescence (PL) behaviour of a new luminogen, SBOH, diethylaminophenol functionalized Schiff base. SBOH possesses electron donor (D) acceptor (A) units, showing twisted intramolecular charge transfer (TICT) properties. Interestingly, is weakly emissive in amorphous phase but becomes highly upon crystallization as confirmed by spectroscopic methods fluorescence microscopy; other words, crystallization-induced emission-enhancement (CIEE)-active. Similar to typical CIEE luminogens, emission also sensitive molecular packing modes. The weak can be switched on via deprotonation process caused strong alkali. Meanwhile, exposure acetic acid vapour rapidly switches “off” state through re-protonation. protonation processes display good reversibility. This further 1H NMR analysis UV-vis spectroscopy. By taking advantage stimuli responsive fluorescence, convenient efficient technology for security printing data storage designed.
